Amos purchased Joe’s Gutter Service in 2016 from its founder, Joe Moore, who established the company in 1976. Under Amos’s leadership, the business has experienced exponential growth, expanding its service area to include East Central Indiana and Western Ohio, including Richmond, Liberty, Muncie, and Oxford. The company has more than quadrupled in size over the past five years and recently relocated to a new facility at 771 South Round Barn Road in Richmond.
Reflecting on his decision to leave teaching after 17 years, Amos said, “It was about owning something I could grow and improve. Joe’s Gutter Service was a perfect fit because of its strong foundation and reputation.”
Amos remains committed to the core philosophy instilled by Moore: mastering one craft. “We focus on gutters—nothing else. That’s how you get really good at what you do,” he emphasized.
Looking ahead, Amos prioritizes his team’s stability over rapid expansion. “In five years, I hope to see the same dedicated employees we have now. That would be a true win,” he shared.
